Fashion Fest is in it’s 3rd year and has been completely revamped. As in the past, it is an All-Stars team event benefitting Relay for Life, but it has a new name now… the first two years, it was called the Fashion Expo. Since it is a celebration of Fashion that, while benefitting a very worthy cause, also brings attention and shoppers to some of the best in SL designers, we’ve now named it The Fashion Fest!
Our theme the first year was Fashion in NYC and it was a tremendous 8 open-space sim success. Last year the theme was World of Oz and it was also very successful, spanning 4 full mainland regions.
Fashion Fest 2010 will span 9 full regions!
Our theme: SL’s Back to the Future. Each teleport directory at the Fashion Fest will be a Time Machine. Each Sim takes you to a different point in time.. different ‘place’…

Sim 1: (center sim) Main Street: SL Today.. a general fashion, shopping district.. with streets, street lights, a Central Park with a large Fashion Entertainment Stage, a carnival-esque Midway.. fountains, statutes, a street-side cafe, etc.. and of course, the main Time Machine. There will be only 10 shops on this sim, a sponsor-site, plus the raffle and auction sites. Builder: Nikki Mathieson, Evan Morane
Sim 2: BC Prehistoric: Dinosaurs, Mammoths, caves, lots of foliage.. plants.. trees.. flowers.. ocean/rivers… etc. This sim will house Twenty ‘display shops’ (4lg, 8med, 8sm), two sponsor-sites and an average size fashion show runway stage area. two or three time machines.. Sim3: BC Egypt: Sphinx, Pyramids, Heiroglyphics, camels.. an average sized fashion stage in a temple type structure. The exhibitor’s shops will make up the ‘market-place’ and there will be a total of 20 shop stalls (4lg, 8med, 8sm).. plus the two sponsor sites. two or three time machines.. Sim4: 44BC Rome: The days of Julius Caeser and his colleague, Marcus Antonius.. a marketplace will house 20 shops (4lg, 8med, 8sm).. plus two sponsor sites. The fashion stage will be a Roman coliseum where gladiator fights once took place. Details will be roman architecture, carts, fountains, etc. two or three time machines.. Sim5: Renaissance – Period structures. Columns, domes, cathedral, a palace.. shops.. the mid-size Fashion Stage will be in the palace.. 20 shops (4lg, 8md, 8sm) and 2 sponsor sites. plus a few time machines. Builder: JL Zinner – Assisted by: Eliz Watanabe
Sim6: early Paris, France: a harbour town with the Eiffel tower in mid-construction. Shops (4lg, 8med, 8sm) adorn the streets.. a park houses the mid-sized Fashion Stage.. a ship or two docked at the harbour.. two or three time machines.. (tp sites) will also be needed. Builder: Lollypop Congrejo
Sim7: 1849 California Gold Rush: San Francisco.. covered wagons, horses, saloons, gold mines, sheriffs ofc.. etc.. a saloon houses the fashion stage.. and the 20 shops (4lg, 8med, 8sm) line the dirt covered streets. two or three time machines.. Sim8: 1957 Philadelphia.. American Bandstand structure houses the mid-sized fashion stage.. a shopping district with streets.. classic cars.. malt shoppes, skate rink and maybe even a drive-in. 20 shops (4lg, 8med, 8sm) make up the town of Philly.. with two sponsor-sites and two or three time machines.. sim9: 2200 United World Federation – Within the dome covered sim is space station number 156.. one of 500 space stations that compose what remains of the ‘world’.. travel is by spaceship or a rail system.. futuristic shops laid out in a pattern of some sort, will house the 20 exhibitors shops (4lg, 8med, 8sm) plus 2 sponsor sites. The mid-sized Fashion Stage will be centrally located.. The space station will hold two or three time machines.. (tp sites), too. Builder: Webby Merlin and Darius Kumsung
